Claudàtor nm 1. (català) square bracket
“… a dialogue of choppy sounds between two languages, two cultures, between the written and the un-written, between two claudàtors in the middle of the silence …”
Duet Claudàtor experiments with free improvisation and music composed in the 20th and 21st centuries.
We are myself, Sarah Claman on the violin and Pau Sola on the cello.
Why free improvisation? Because it allows us to express ourselves without boundaries, it’s music in its purest form; communication.
Duet Claudàtor mixes free improvisation with music from the classical “art music” tradition, combining our personal experiences with something fresh, unexpected and spontaneous.
